SAIC hires new strategy SVP
Science Applications International Corp. appoints a new senior vice president of strategy whose career includes leadership roles at Verizon and Booz Allen Hamilton.
Science Applications International Corp. has hired nearly two-decade public sector market veteran Nyla Beth Gawel as senior vice president of strategy.
Gawel will work with leaders across the company on executing business plans to achieve organic growth, SAIC said Tuesday.
Most recently, Gawel was director of public sector strategy for Verizon’s business group that was created in 2019. She led strategy and development efforts for providing networks, products, and services for government and education customers.
Her career also includes 13 years as a vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she worked in that firm’s strategic innovation group. She also led the launch of Booz Allen’s innovation Center and solution group.
