EverWatch arm takes $100M Navy research contract

A subsidiary of EverWatch wins a $100 million research-and-development contract focused on supporting the Navy's C4ISR efforts.
A subsidiary of EverWatch has won a potential five-year, $100.3 million contract to work with the Navy on developing technologies that can be integrated into the service branch’s C4ISR platforms.
The Naval Research Laboratory ran the competition and received three other bids for the contract that has an initial base value of $19 million, the Pentagon said in its Friday awards digest.
Analysis, Computing and Engineering Solutions will perform research-and-development work in support of the Navy’s systems for C4ISR -- command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
This appears to be a brand new requirement focused on developing new hardware, software and other types of advanced technologies. A Deltek description lists technologies of interest as including digital processing and control analog systems, power, communications, command and telemetry, radio frequency, optical, payload and electromechanical systems.
ACES is one of four companies that private equity firm Enlightenment Capital pulled together two years ago to form EverWatch. This subsidiary focuses on IT, engineering and intelligence analysis services to support missions in areas such as technical signals intelligence, C4ISR, maritime domain awareness and network operations.
