Newly-launched space firm names new CEO

AE Industrial Partners' newly-launched space technology company Redwire appoints a new CEO that formerly held the same post at Polaris Alpha.
Private equity firm AE Industrial Partners has appointed one of its operating partners in Peter Cannito as chairman and CEO of Redwire, a space technology company AEI launched earlier this month.
AEI formed Redwire by combining portfolio companies Adcole Space and Deep Space Systems to create a more formidable bidder for opportunities in what they call the next-generation space architecture.
Cannito joined the investment firm last year and is a former CEO of Polaris Alpha, the defense technology integrator he led through its sale to Parsons Corp. in 2018.
