Air Force makes awards on $950M multi-domain system contract

The Air Force makes nearly two dozen awards for a $950 million multi-domain system development, demonstration contract.
The Air Force has made 28 awards on a potential five-year, $950 million contract for services to help further mature and demonstrate systems across multiple domains.
All 28 proposals were chosen for an award to support the Joint All Domain Command and Control concept that focuses on development in an open architecture family of systems, the Defense Department said in its Friday awards digest.
Dubbed JADC2, the Air Force envisions that concept as one that connects distributed sensors and data from all domains to all forces. Those domains include air, land, sea, space, cyber and the electromagnetic spectrum.
Companies with seats on this contract will vie for work through May 2025.
