Seven picked for $990M DIA data collection contract

Seven companies take spots on a $990 million data collection contract with the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Seven companies have won positions on a five-year, $990 million contract vehicle for data collection and management support services to the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Eight companies in total bid for the contract that was managed by the Virginia Contracting Authority, through which DIA conducts its procurements. Awardees will vie for task orders through the duration of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Pentagon said in its Monday awards digest.
Winners are:
- Applied Research Associates
- Booz Allen Hamilton
- CACI International
- Centauri
- General Dynamics’ IT services segment
- Northrop Grumman
- Radiant Geospatial Solutions (now Maxar Technologies)
This multiple-award contract called DORE2 -- Data Science, Operations, Requirements, Exploitation and Engineering -- primarily supports DIA’s directorate for science and technology. The contract is a follow-on to the current DORE program awarded in 2015 that is held by Booz Allen Hamilton, CACI, L3Harris Technologies and Maxar (inherited through MDA Information Systems).
DIA’s task areas for the contract include Internet of Things, social media and open source data.
