Phoenix Logistics wins $516M Army training tech contract

Phoenix Logistics has won a potential 10-year, $516 million contract to help the Army further develop a technology platform that runs simulations of digital command training activities.

Work will specifically focus on incorporating new warfighting functions into the Army’s Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability system. The Army received one other bid for the contract, the Defense Department said in its Tuesday awards digest.

Incumbent Lockheed Martin won the initial contract in 2013 to stand up JLCCTC in support of commanders’ and staffers’ development of warfighting skills in a simulated environment, plus update standard operating procedures.

JLCCTC works to give users a single combination of varying models and simulations based on the intent of a training exercise.

The new contract has an initial four-year base period, followed by a pair of three-year options.
