Orolia closes deal to add navigation capabilities

Orolia Defense & Security has closed its acquisition of Talen-X in a bid to add new capabilities around navigation simulation systems and detection and mitigation technologies.

Orolia Defense & Security was spun off from parent company Orolia earlier this year to focus on the U.S. defense and civilian government market.

Talen-X was founded in 2016 and brings new technologies to the Orolia Defense & Security portfolio as it works to provide resilient systems to the Defense Department and other agencies. Terms of the deal first announced last year were not disclosed.

“Orolia Defense & Security is excited to bring on Talen-X as they offer a complementary portfolio of solutions and bring many years of advanced PNT experience to the team,” said Hironori Sasaki, president of Orolia Defense & Security.

The Rochester, New York-based defense and security business was created as a U.S. entity to pursue defense contracts and work on both classified and unclassified projects.
