SAIC adds former Army acquisition exec Wiltsie

Science Applications International Corp. said Monday it has hired former Army acquisition executive Douglas Wiltsie as vice president of operations for the company’s defense systems customer group.

Wiltsie will focus on program execution, business development and customer relationships. He also has responsibility for SAIC’s Army services and mission support operation that includes intelligence and sensor integration, enterprise IT services and modernization, and C4ISR services and solutions.

He will report to Jim Scanlon, executive vice president and general manager for the defense systems customer group.

As an Army Senior Executive Service official, Wiltsie established and served as the first director of the branch’s Rapid Capability Office that focused on incremental development and rapid prototyping.

Wiltsie’s government service career also includes a stint as executive director of the Army’s system of systems engineering and integration directorate, and program executive office for enterprise information systems.
