Virtual reality company Immersive Wisdom gets an investment from In-Q-Tel, the intelligence community’s venture capital arm.

Virtual reality platform maker Immersive Wisdom has received an investment of undisclosed terms from In-Q-Tel, the intelligence community’s venture capital arm.

IQT made the backing to further help the national security community connect to a common virtual space that multiple users can have access to at the same time, Senior Vice President Megan Anderson said in a release Monday.

Tools potentially available in that shared space include maps, video feeds and other real-time data for domains such as cyber, analysis and ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance).

Immersive Wisdom designs its virtual and augmented reality platforms to link sensor inputs, Internet of Things feeds, and cyber and network data among other sources to create a three-dimensional view of an area.
