Booz Allen among three winners of $376M NASA contracts for engineering, professional services

NASA has awarded a pair of contracts worth up to $376 million for engineering and other professional services at two of its centers, the agency said in separate announcements Wednesday.

Under one potential $112 million contract, Booz Allen Hamilton will conduct reviews and assessments of organizational tactical and strategic planning efforts at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. Work also includes assessments of costs, schedules, technical risks, safety and mission assurance aspects of human exploration programs.

The Strategic Professional Engineering Assessment Contract is a blanket purchase agreement with one base year that begins Feb. 27, 2019. SPEAC also includes four individual option years that would extend the work to Feb. 26, 2024.

For the second contract, Analytical Mechanics Associates and New Horizons Aeronautics will provide engineering and technical support services at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California.

This contract is valued at $264 million over eight years and also includes support for project planning and control, range support, lab support and special studies.
