Interior picks three for $235M financial system support contract

The Interior Department has chosen three companies for a seven-year contract with a shared $235 million ceiling to help maintain and support an environment of Oracle-based financial and accounting systems.

Deloitte and IBM both won slots on the contract’s $120 million full-and-open track, while Summit2Sea took a spot on the $135 million small business portion, Interior said in a pair of FedBizOpps notices posted Friday. It is unclear if additional selections are coming as Deltek data indicates up to six awards could be made.

Awardees will vie for task orders to help the department roll out a new release of the Oracle Federal Financial system, as well as conduct any related implementation and integration work.

Interior offers financial management shared services to other federal agencies, as does the Agriculture Department.

Through the Interior Business Center, the department supports at least 150 other federal organizations and also offers acquisition and human resources services that include payroll.

Other work for Interior will include project management; functional support; data conversion; post-production; help desk support; training and knowledge transfer assistance; testing; and technical support.
