A U.S. division of British defense contractor Cobham has hired a pair of C-level executives to support growth and compliance under a special security agreement for the business to perform classified federal contract work.
Former Leonardo DRS executive Shawn Black has been named chief operating officer and former Mission Essential Chief Financial Officer Mark Santamaria was appointed CFO. Santamaria will also join the board of directors at Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions, the company said Monday.
Black more recently spent 15 years at Leonardo DRS and more recently led that company’s electro-optical and infrared systems business.
A three-decade defense market veteran, Santamaria has also held CFO roles at AM General and The SI Organization. He previously worked at Lockheed Martin for 24 years.
