TransUnion adds CIA vet Wolfe to government advisory board

Credit reporting agency TransUnion said Thursday it has appointed former CIA Chief Information Officer Doug Wolfe to the company’s government advisory board.

The seven-member board of former federal IT executives advises TransUnion on trends and opportunities in the public sector market. One of three major credit bureaus in the U.S., TransUnion launched its government business in 2016 to offer fraud prevention and other data services to agencies.

Wolfe retired from the CIA in December after a 33-year career and his last role there was associate deputy director of science and technology.

Former Army acquisition leader Katrina McFarland joined the board last year.
