MCR appoints Bill Parker CEO

Program management and engineering services contractor MCR has appointed long-time industry veteran Bill Parker as president and CEO.

McLean, Virginia-based MCR said Tuesday he will succeed Vince Kiernan, who will step down from the leadership role but remain on the company's board of directors.

Parker more recently founded and led his own consulting firm Parker Strategic. Prior to that, his previous role in industry was at Salient Federal Solutions as its chief operating officer and helped lead that company through its 2015 merger with CRGT to create what is now Salient CRGT.

His career also includes roles such as COO of NCI Inc. and several stints as president at other government IT firms.
