ManTech books $116M in ISR aircraft tech orders

ManTech International has booked a pair of task orders valued at $116 million combined for technology services to support manned and unmanned U.S. military aircraft used in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.

The Air Force awarded both orders on behalf of the Navy for updates to the latter’s fleets of P-3C Orion, P-8A Poseidon and MQ-4C Triton airplanes. Each order covers modernization and integration work focused on bringing digital tools into the mission, ManTech said in a pair of releases Thursday.

One four-year, $71 million order covers upgrades on the manned Orion and Poseidon planes used in maritime patrol and reconnaissance efforts that include anti-submarine and anti-surface electronic warfare, ISR and survivability.

A second four-year, $45 million order is for upgrades of the unmanned Triton’s sensor radars, electro-optical infrared ISR systems and other tools. Triton is flown in persistent ISR maritime missions.

The Air Force issued both orders through the Defense Systems Technical Area Task portion of the DoD Information Analysis Center Multi-Award Contract vehicle.
