Find opportunities — and win them.

General Dynamics receives a $3.9 billion contract to deliver tactical IT hardware systems across Army and other Defense Department program offices.

General Dynamics’ mission systems segment has received a potential five-year, $3.9 billion contract to deliver tactical IT hardware systems across Army and other Defense Department program offices.

The Common Hardware Systems-5 contract covers three base years followed by two one-year options, General Dynamics said Thursday.

This is the newest iteration of the CHS program, which the Army runs as a “one-stop shop” acquisition vehicle to supply commercial hardware and software, management and support services to more than 120 Army and DOD program offices that include those for the Navy and Marine Corps.

CHS hardware orders total between 75,000 and 100,000 per year from General Dynamics Mission Systems and its dozens of large and small business partners, GDMS said in a release.
