BAE hires Peter Trainer as Air Force solutions lead
BAE Systems’ U.S. subsidiary hires former SAIC executive Peter Trainer as vice president and general manager of the Air Force solutions business.
BAE Systems’ U.S. subsidiary has hired former Science Applications International Corp. executive Peter Trainer as vice president and general manager of the Air Force solutions business.
Trainer will lead a unit that provides cyber hardening systems and services to the Air Force and combatant commands, BAE Systems Inc. said Monday.
The business unit also maintains, modernizes and tests platforms that include aircraft, radars, missile systems and mission applications.
At SAIC, he led business development functions for that company’s Air Force operations business unit and also held management and strategy responsibilities.
Trainer is also a three-decade Air Force active duty and reserve veteran who served on the branch’s legislative liason staff focused on space, intelligence and missile programs.
He retired with the rank of colonel and at the time was senior individual mobilization augmentee to the director of the National Reconnaissance Office.
