Ernst & Young hires two-decade Defense Department IT veteran and White House Communications Agency Commander Cleo Thomas to the firm's public sector leadership team.
Ernst & Young has hired two-decade Defense Department IT veteran and former White House Communications Agency Commander Cleophus "Cleo" Thomas to the firm's public sector team.
Thomas will work as senior director for the defense and national security market segment within EY's government and public sector practice, the firm said Tuesday.
The retired Army colonel's career prior to EY includes roles such as J3/chief operations officer for the Joint Force Headquarters – Department of Defense Information Network in addition to his role as head of the WHCA.
EY cited his experience in managing large cyber defense and other IT programs for the Defense Department in the firm's release.
As brigade commander for the 516th Signal Brigade, Thomas was responsible for the Army's largest operational cyber network that covered more than 9,000 miles and 16 time zones.
