We have launched the research phase of our next WT Insider Report to explore the industry's outlook for 2018 on items like growth prospects, hot technologies and industry confidence.
Here at Washington Technology, we’ve conducted a quarterly Contractor Confidence Index survey to measure how people feel about the market and the direction it is headed.
For 2018, we are revamping the project. We’re keeping the core questions that we use to determine the index. And we’ve added several others to get a deeper look into the state of the market. We’ll also now only conduct the survey once a year.
Expect our traditional questions around growth, job satisfaction and the general direction of the market. But we’re also asking about mergers and acquisitions, technology trends, challenges to success, and trends around "X as a service."
The results will be presented in a Washington Technology Insider Report that will be available exclusively to WT Insider members.
The survey has been released and you may have gotten an email from me. But even if you have not gotten an email, I invite you to take survey by clicking on this link.
The more people who take the survey the higher the quality of the results. As an extra enticement if you take the survey, you can register to win one of three $50 Amazon gift cards.
A few of the questions in the 19-question survey deal with IT modernization. IT modernization has become a real buzzword in recent years. In the survey we ask about the Modernizing Government Technology Act, measuring success and how many of your customers are expected to launch a modernization project in the coming year.
These questions will yield interesting results and serve as a springboard to an Insider Report specifically on IT modernization that we plan for later this year.
We also have one open ended question -- What topic or issue do you think is not getting enough attention in the marketplace? I'm hoping the responses point us to some new areas for our reporting and other coverage.
Again, I encourage you to take the survey. We really want to hear from as many people as possible. This is your market and here is a chance to make your voice heard.
