General Dynamics' IT arm takes in a potential five-year, $58.9 million contract for medical training support to the Army.
General Dynamics’ IT business unit has won a potential five-year, $58.9 million contract to conduct medical training and other health-related exercises for the Army.
The Army Medical Command sought professional training and operations services to support the Regional Training Sites-Medical Program for the Army Reserve, General Dynamics said Thursday.
RTS-MED’s mission is to both equip and train medical units and personnel, according to the solicitation issued in June of last year.
The solicitation details requirements such as face-to-face training of deploying soldiers, refreshing medical skill sets for non-deploying soldiers, bio-medical equipment maintenance and combat support hospital training sets.
Work will take place at 15 locations in the U.S. The former Computer Sciences Corp. was the incumbent and its contract expired on Dec. 31, according to Deltek.
