Find opportunities — and win them.

CSRA books a potential five-year, $238 million task order to help the Veterans Affairs Department shift to a managed service provider model for IT services.

CSRA has won a potential five-year, $238 million task order to help the Veterans Affairs Department shift the agency’s enterprise IT environment to managed service provider facilities run by the company.

The order covers a one-year base period with four one-year options, CSRA said Tuesday. Four offers were submitted for the order awarded via the VA’s potential $22.3 billion T4NG IT services vehicle, according to Deltek data.

At least 12 of the VA’s national IT service desks will move to CSRA’s managed service provider environment.

CSRA will act as the VA’s single point-of-contact for enterprise IT services at the tier zero and one levels. That covers all VA employees and agency-designated third parties with access to its applications, hardware, software, data and services used for daily business.

The company plans to hire almost 500 additional staffers for work under the order. They will be located at its Integrated Technology Center in Bossier City, Louisiana and another company facility in Barbourville, Kentucky.

Falls Church, Virginia-based CSRA has been the biggest recipient of T4NG work since that vehicle opened for business in 2016 with $204 million in task orders, Deltek data says.
