The Virtual Patient Simulator System Whole Body Patient Simulators contract encompasses both multi-task trainers for multiple functional areas and part-task trainers that apply to a specific functional area of care, according to a Deltek description.
The Army has awarded seven companies positions on a five-year, $186 million contract to supply patient and veterinary simulation devices for the branch to use in training functions for medical care.
Using agencies for the contract include the Army’s program executive office for simulation, training and instrumentation, Defense Health Agency, Veterans Health Administration and other Defense Department components, the Defense Department said in its Friday contracts digest.
Seven bids were submitted and awardees are:
