Peraton to back DISA spectrum sharing efforts

Peraton has reported a pair of task orders worth up to $12.5 million combined to help the Defense Information Systems Agency carry out spectrum sharing programs.

The efforts are aimed at sharing parts of the electromagnetic spectrum with commercial users, Peraton said Thursday. DISA's defense spectrum organization awarded the orders.

One task order worth up to $5.5 million over three years covers work to develop and maintain software that analyzes electromagnetic capabilities. DISA issued that order under the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center's CIO-SP3 contract vehicle, which Peraton is on as the former Harris Corp. IT business.

A second order has a potential $7 million value over four years and calls on Peraton to provide specturm engineering and relocation services for the capability analysis. That aspect requires coordination with military services to develop decisions on potential early-entry sharing of the spectrum.
