DHA picks 36 small firms for $7.5B health care staffing contract

The Defense Health Agency has selected 36 companies for a five-year, $7.5 billion contract to provide health care workers at U.S. military facilities in all 50 states.

DHA competed the contract as a small business set-aside and awardees will vie for task orders over its duration. The Defense Department said in its Tuesday contracts digest that work will also take place in Washington, D.C., Guam and Puerto Rico.

Awardees will provide physicians, nurses, dental and other health care staffers to support medical workers for Army, Navy, Air Force and DHA military treatment facilities.

Work will take place between Dec. 1 of this year and Nov. 20, 2022.
