Leidos brings aboard former Air Force CIO Bender
Leidos appoints retired Air Force Lt. Gen. and former Chief Information Officer William Bender to the company's government relations team.
Leidos has appointed retired Air Force Lt. Gen. and former Chief Information Officer William Bender as a senior strategic account executive in the company's government relations team.
Bender will start in the role Sept. 5 and be responsible for efforts to build and advance relationships with the contractor's agency customers. He will also help oversee strategic initiatives for organic growth.
As Air Force CIO, Bender oversaw 50,000 cyber and other personnel worldwide and a $17 billion portfolio for IT investments.
His 34-year military career also includes service as deputy chief for the Office of Security Cooperation-Iraq, commander of the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center and director for warfighter systems integration in the office of the Air Force CIO.
