Accenture adds McClure to federal exec team

Accenture has hired former General Services Administration executive Dave McClure to the leadership team within the firm's federal services subsidiary.

McClure will lead Accenture Federal Services' CIO Leadership Agenda that will focus on efforts to advance modernization strategies and digital transformation projects for agencies. The agenda will also focus on mission performance and customer service also.

Prior to AFS, McClure was chief strategist at Coalfire Federal (formerly Veris Group) and focused on digital transformation for government and commercial customers.

His government service career prior to Coalfire includes five years at GSA as associate administrator for citizen services and innovative technologies from 2009 to 2014 and led the work to launch initiatives such as the FedRAMP cloud computing security program, Data.gov and Challenge.gov. McClure also is a former director of government IT management at the Government Accountability Office and helped craft the Clinger-Cohen Act that sought to reform federal IT acquisitions.

McClure's private sector career includes roles such as managing vice president for government technology research at Gartner and vice president for eGovernment at the Council for Excellence in Government. He is also a four-time selection for our sister publication FCW's annual Fed100 Award.
