Small business Cambridge wins big C5ISR award

Cambridge International Systems, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business, has won a $343.3 million contract for C5ISR support services to the Defense Department and other agencies.

This is the largest contract the company has won in its 33-year history, a spokeswoman told Washington Technology.

The contract was awarded through the Department of Health and Human Services Program Support Center and will be used for planning, analysis, integration and operations of current and emerging capabilities.

Areas include intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, information operations and enterprise information services.

Arlington, Va.-based Cambridge has supported those types of operations for more than 20 years, according to the company.

“We understand mission success is often dependent on agile and adaptive responses, and we are excited to have a contract that will allow us to provide C5ISR solutions that proactively drive leading edge technical innovation” said Russell Thurston, Cambridge's vice president of defense and intelligence solutions.

Work will take place both inside and outside the U.S. to include high-threat areas.
