Chenega Corp.'s Kapsuun Group subsidiary beats out three other bidders for a potential four-year, $70 million linguist and analyst support contract with the Air Force.
Chenega Corp. subsidiary Kapsuun Group has won a potential four-year, $70 million contract for language translation and analyst support services to the Air Force in areas such as intelligence and cyberspace intelligence.
Kapsuun beat out three other offers for the contract reserved for 8(a) small businesses. The contract covers one base year with three one-year options. Premier Management Corp. is the incumbent contractor and Multilingual Group also performed the work under a bridge contract, according to Deltek.
The Air Force sought help to get real-time intelligence to national decision makers, in-theater and combatant commanders with both ground and airborne linguists.
Kapsuun's work will encompass all phases of collection, interpretation, translation and analysis of mission data. The subsidiary has also been tasked to act as language mentors and trainers for Air Force personnel, according to the solicitation.
In addition, Kapsuun will produce written documents such as transcripts and reports through its translation services.
Translators and analysts from Kapsuun will support the 25th Air Force’s 55th Wing, 70th and 480th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wings; the 361st ISR Group; and the 24th Air Force’s 67th and 688th Cyberspace Wings.
