Navy taps three for $137.8M C4ISR services contract

Three companies have won positions on a potential five-year, $137.8 million contract for platform integration and systems engineering services to the Navy.

Contractors will compete for task orders to carry out design, engineering, integration and concept development work on net-centric C4ISR systems -- command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. This contract covers a two-year base period with an option to extend work for three more years.

Awardees and contract values are as follows:

• Booz Allen Hamilton: base value $14.8 million, potential value $43.5 million
• Geocent: base value $15.6 million, potential value $46.5 million
• Solute: base value $15.9 million, potential value $47.7 million

Deltek lists added government customers for this contract as including other defense agencies, the Homeland Security Department, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Customs and Border Protection.

The Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Center Pacific arm has four major focus areas such as network-centric development, systems of systems integration and support, C4ISR systems and navigation sensor system interface systems.

SSC Pacific received six offers for the contract and all work will take place at its San Diego headquarters.
