SAIC scores potential $620M NASA engineering contract

Science Applications International Corp. will take over engineering services work at NASA's Goddard hub under a potential $620 million award.
Science Applications International Corp. has won a potential five-year, $620 million contract for engineering services to NASA at the Greenbelt, Md.-based Goddard Space Flight Center.
This is the second iteration of NASA’s Omnibus Multidiscipline Engineering Services contract in support of the space agency’s applied engineering and technology directorate. OMES II covers an ordering period between July 1 of this year and June 30, 2022.
SGT Inc. is the incumbent on the original OMES contract awarded in 2012. That iteration had a potential value of $400 million over five years.
Under OMES II, NASA seeks contractor support for efforts at Goddard to develop hardware and software for spacecraft, manned and unmanned aircraft, components and science instruments to use in future science and space missions.
SAIC’s work will encompass study, design, system engineering, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification and operations.
