HDS Federal names two-decade vet CEO
Data and analytics company Hitachi Data Systems Federal hires two-decade market veteran David Turner as its new president and CEO.
Data and analytics company Hitachi Data Systems Federal has appointed two-decade public sector veteran David Turner as president and CEO.
Turner joins HDS Federal from government services contractor Akima, where he acted as president of its applied technology and operational services group. At Akima, Turner oversaw business strategy and a portfolio of five companies focused in the defense and civilian markets.
His career also includes a senior vice president role at Affiliated Computer Services, director position at McDonald Bradley and senior principal post at American Management Systems.
HDS Federal provides virtualization, storage and other cloud-related services to federal agencies.
Reston, Va.-headquartered HDS Federal is a subsidiary of global digital services company Hitachi Data Systems, which in turn is a subsidiary of the Tokyo-based Hitachi conglomerate.
