Buchanan & Edwards adds Accenture vet as BD lead
Buchanan & Edwards makes first key leadership hire since its first-ever acquisition with the appointment of a new business development director.
Fresh off its first-ever acquisition, Buchanan & Edwards has hired former Accenture Federal Services proposal manager Mary Tabb Howard as director of strategic capture.
Howard joins BE nearly one month after the IT and consulting contractor’s purchase of analytics services provider R2C. Fairfax, Va.-headquartered R2C adds data-related work for national security agencies to BE’s portfolio.
At AFS, Howard was a senior proposal manager in her more recent role. BE says teams she led recorded a 90-percent win rate for awarded submissions.
Her career also includes roles such as proposal manager and capture manager at SM&A, and capture manager for SiloSmashers. Howard's positions at Science Applications International Corp. included business developer, capture manager, intelligence program manager and site manager.
