Small firm picked for $17.1M USDA IT management contract

InquisIT has won a $17.1 million contract for IT management work to support the USDA agency fighting against pests and diseases.
The Agriculture Department has awarded a five-year, $17.1 million contract to InquisIT for information technology management services to a USDA organization responsible for defenses against pests and diseases.
The firm-fixed-price contract covers IT services in support of software, hardware and cybersecurity.
InquisIT’s work for USDA’s Animal Plant Health Inspection Service will focus on areas such as video, network security, telecommunications, cyber engineering, system administration, Voice Over Internet Protocol and telephony.
Chantilly, Va.-headquartered InquisIT provides systems engineering, enterprise, cyber, management and software support services to defense and civilian agencies via contract vehicles such as GSA Schedule 70, GSA 8(a) STARS II and the Navy’s Seaport-e.
