Sierra Nevada Corp. nabs $7.9M contract to support navigation
Sierra Nevada Corp. has won a $7.9 million contract to update the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s maritime navigational geospatial products.
Sierra Nevada Corp. has won a $7.9 million contract to update the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s maritime navigational geospatial products.
The contract also builds upon the foundation of the Notice to Mariners Feasibility Demonstration Model and its underlying enterprise engine, which Sierra Nevada Corp. will enhance and create for it a new demonstration model for safety of navigation, the Defense Department said in a release.
Enhancements will be developed using an agile model-driven development approach that consists of requirements gather and short sprints of design, development, test and demonstation.
Work will be provided in Sparks, Nev., and is expected to be completed in March 2018.
Two companies bid on this contract, which was contracted out by the Air Force Research Lab in Rome, N.Y.
