Alion Science and Technology has won a $145 million contract to support the Navy’s DDG 51 Shipbuilding Program.
Alion Science and Technology has won a $145 million contract to support the Navy’s DDG 51 Shipbuilding Program.
The DDG 51 is a multi-mission destroyer focused on air defense and mid-ocean operations and is the Navy’s largest class of warships, according to the Navy’s website.
Under the five-year contract, the company will provide ship production planning and engineering, systems engineering, data management and logistics support, the company said in a release.
Work will be performed in Washington, D.C., Bath, Maine, and Pascagoula, Miss.
