Contract award activity slowed a bit in the sixth month of 2016, with Washington Technology reporting on 49 awards.

June’s 49 is a couple awards shy of May’s 53 awards; it is, however, up from June 2015’s 39 awards. So far, Washington Technology has covered 292 awards in 2016 compared to 272 awards this time last year.

To make the list in June, you had to have a contract with a value greater than $84.7 million. June’s contract threshold is lower than May’s $245 million threshold.

June was a great month for Lockheed Martin and SAIC, who both hold spots on two of the top 10 contracts.

The top ten contracts of June are:

10. SAIC captures $84.7M high-performance support contract

SAIC Corp. won an $84.7 million contract to provide management and technical services to several military facilities.

9. American Systems wins $85M T&E contract

American Systems Corp. has won an $85 million contract to provide the Air Force with operational test and evaluation services.

8. Davis Defense Group nets $95M Marine Corps contract for distance learning

Davis Defense Group has won a $95 million contract to deliver support services to the Marine Corps College of Distance Education and Training Distance Professional Military Education programs.

7. BCF Solutions wins $109M MDA contract for advisory, assistance services

BCF Solutions has won a $109 million advisory and assistance services contract with the Missile Defense Agency.

6. Lockheed Martin wins $424M contract to support Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division

Lockheed Martin has won a $424 million contract to support the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division.

5. CACI gets big win from L-3 NSS acquisition

CACI International Inc., through its acquisition of L-3 National Security Solutions, has won a $445.9 million contract to support the Air Force Satellite Control Network.

4. Parsons Government wins $455M contract to support weapons, missile systems

Parsons Government Services has won a $455 million contract to provide support to the Missile Defense Agency’s various weapons and missile systems.

3. Lockheed Martin wins $733M task order to improve Army equipment

Lockheed Martin has won a $733 million task order to support the U.S Army Contracting Command- Aberdeen Proving Ground and improve sensor equipment and data collection.  

2. 21 companies to provide COTS C2 equipment, services under $750M contract

Twenty-one companies have won spots on a $750 million contract to provide the Navy with commercial-off-the-shelf command and control equipment and support services.

1. 81 companies win $25B CMS contract

The Department of Health and Human Services has awarded a contract with a $25 billion ceiling to 81 companies to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Strategic Partners Acquisition Readiness Contract Program.
