STG begins transition to leaders with Fernandes retirement
Paul Fernandes is retiring after more than a decade with STG Inc. as a senior leader with the company.
Paul Fernandes, who has been one of STG Inc.’s senior executives for more than a decade, most recently as president, is retiring by the end of the year, pending the hiring of a new CEO.
STG merged with Global Defense & National Security Systems Inc. in late 2015 as part of a plan to go public.
Since that transaction closed, the company has made several senior hires including Charles Cosgrove, chief financial officer, Dale Davis, chief integration officer, Gavin Long, senior vice president of corporate development, Joseph Nicholas, senior vice president of cybersecurity business, and Tim Dennings, vice president of business development.
Fernandes' retirement is part of the company's plan to continue to develop its senior leadership team.
Fernandes became chief operating officer of STG in 2008 and was promoted to president in 2012. He started working for the company in 2004.
“His leadership has been instrumental in guiding the company toward new opportunities and future growth,” said chairman Simon Lee.
