Harris Corp. has been awarded a $27 million task order to provide maritime electronic warfare payloads to the Naval Research Laboratory’s Advanced Decoy Architecture Project program.

The task order was awarded under a $54 million contract the company received in September 2015 to deliver testing and engineering services to meet electronic warfare mission standards.

Under the program, Harris has developed electronic warfare payloads to replace the previously existing Nulka decoy system, which protects ships from missiles, according to the Navy’s website. This task order will speed up the replacement process, the company said in a release.
