Systems Made Simple, a Lockheed Martin subsidiary, has won a $262 million task order to help streamline the processing of veterans disability claims for the Veterans Affairs Department.
The task order, which supports the Veterans Benefits Administration within the VA, was awarded under the Transformation Twenty One Total Technology (T4) contract.
Ninety-five percent of the 3 million veteran claims over the past three years have originated as printed or handwritten documents submitted through one of VA’s 56 regional offices, Lockheed Martin said in a release.
Systems Made Simple will establish a centralized repository of veterans claim information, which will eliminate unnecessary mailing and distribution of paper records, the company said.
