Defense tech agency seeks IT support, enhancements

The Defense Technology Security Administration issued a sources sought notice May 1 as it plans for a four-year contract for daily IT support and innovative enhancements.

DTSA, a part of the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s policy division, described three technical areas the contract will focus on.

The first area is IT operations and maintenance.

Second, DTSA wants support for systems enhancements for the presidential initiative on export control reform. DTSA is looking to improve several of its own systems that enable cross governmental organizations and entities to exchange and store data of in multiple formats.

Lastly, DTSA needs ongoing maintenance and support for its Security Policy Automation Network (SPAN) programs, including bug and error program coding corrections and increased codes functionalities.

DTSA manages the development and implantation of Defense Department technology security policies on international transfers of defense-related goods, services and technologies.

DTSA released the notice May 1. Responses are due by May 21.
