Army makes awards under $3.5B procurement
The Army has awarded three large contracts with a total ceiling of $3.5 billion as part of an effort to streamline how the Tank Automotive and Armament Command buys services, supports R&D and maintains its equipment.
The Army has awarded three large contracts with a total ceiling of $3.5 billion that are part of an effort to streamline how the Tank Automotive and Armament Command buys services, supports research and development and maintains its equipment.
The contract is known as the TACOM Strategic Service Solutions Family of Contracts, or TS3 FoC.
The largest of the three contracts is for knowledge-related services. It has a ceiling of $1.8 billion over five years.

The Army received 35 bids and made 26 awards.
The R&D contract has a ceiling of $634 million and will be used by the government to buy services such research, development, testing and evaluation.
