Who won February's biggest contracts?

February saw an anticipated drop in contract awards due to the shortness of the month.

Washington Technology covered 33 awards during February, compared to 38 in January.

However, February 2015 also fell short when compared to February 2014’s 43 awards, continuing a trend that began last month when January 2015’s 38 contract awards paled in comparison to January 2014’s 53 awards.

To make the top 10 list in February, you had to have won a contract worth more than $78.5 million. In January, it was $67.7 million.

The top prize this month was head and shoulders over the rest and represents a trend we are seeing of companies making a push into international markets since the U.S. federal contracting landscape has been rocky the past couple of years.

The month was a good month for SAIC, who holds two spots on our Top 10, but was especially good for Lockheed Martin, who holds three.

The top contract awards for February kicks off at number 10:

10. Lockheed Martin wins $78.5M contract to provide eCASS systems

Lockheed Martin has won a $78.5 million contract to deliver 29 electronic Consolidated Automated Support Systems (eCASS) to the Navy.

9. Lockheed wins $90M in contracts to support intell-sharing solution

Lockheed Martin has won two contracts totaling $90 million with the Navy to support a cross-domain intelligence sharing solution.

8. Sumaria Systems wins $94.4M contract for advisory, assistance services

Sumaria Systems has won a $94.4 million contract to provide the Air Force with advisory and assistance services.

7. Lockheed Martin wins $129M contract to continue C2 system support

Lockheed Martin has won a $129 million contract extension to continue to support the Missile Defense Agency’s Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications system.

6. SAIC wins $167M contract to support Chief of Naval Operations

SAIC has won a $167 million contract to provide planning and warfare support analysis to the Navy’s Office of the Chief of Naval Operations.

5. SAIC wins $247.5M contract for logistics support

SAIC has won a $247.5 million contract to provide maintenance, repair and operations support for Zone 2.

4. Raytheon captures $270M Navy V-22 Osprey contract

Raytheon has won a $270 million contract to support the Navy’s V-22 Osprey systems, testing and software.

4. SupplyCore wins $270M contract for logistics support

SupplyCore, a Rockford, Ill.-based small business specializing in integration support, has won a $270 million contract to provide maintenance, repair and operations in Zone 1 of the southwest region.

3. GD keeps incumbency on $415M Army training contract

General Dynamics has won a $415 million contract to continue to manage the Army’s LT2 live training systems.

2. PAE wins $453.5M support contract at Marshall Space Flight Center

PAE has won a $453.5 million contract to support operations at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala.

1. Leidos lands $12B U.K. logistics contract

In its biggest win since changing its name from SAIC, Leidos has won a $12 billion U.K. contract to provide Britain’s Ministry of Defense to manage logistics.
