Accenture has closed on its acquisition of Agilex Technologies in a deal that adds more capabilities in analytics, cloud and mobility.

The deal was announced in early February 2015.

Accenture found Agilex to be a good acquisition target because of their agile development methodologies, digital capabilities and delivery of rapid and measurable results, the company said.

Agilex also brings a number of major customers including the Veterans Affairs, Homeland Security and Commerce departments. The acquisition also complements a the 2013 Accenture acquisition of ASM Research, a health IT and consulting company.

In an interview, Accenture Federal CEO David Moskovitz told Washington Technology that the company was excited of the prospect of the deal when they learned that Agilex was looking at strategic options.

“Both companies are growing so this is an opportunity to better position both companies and better serve the client,” he said.
