SEWP V take 2: NASA names 65 winners
In its second attempt to get its $20 billion procurement off the ground, NASA has named 65 companies winners of prime contracts under its SEWP V contract.
NASA has named 65 companies winners of prime contracts under its Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V contract, which has been delayed by bid protests.
The agency made a total of 84 awards in Group A for computer-based systems and Group D for networking, security, video and conference tools. A total of 65 companies won because 19 companies won in both groups.
This is the second time NASA has made awards for its $20 billion SEWP V contract. In October, 43 companies won 56 awards, with 13 companies winning awards in Group A and Group D.
Multiple bid protests were filed following the awards, which led NASA to pull back the awards and re-evaluate proposals.
Still to come are awards for Groups B and C, which are the small business awards.
With this group of awards, the number of contracts in Group A has gone from 23 to 36 and Group D has gone from 33 to 48.
All of the winners from the first round of awards won again. Of the 28 newcomers there are some interesting names who made it this time who didn’t before, including AT&T Government Solutions, Unicom and Intelligent Decisions.
I’ve put an asterisk by the new entrants on the contract in the list of winners below. There still, of course, are potential protests that could delay the start of the contract again, but I would expect NASA to be on solid ground if came down to that.
Without new protests, the contract is expected to be open for business by May 1
