Not three weeks after DynCorp International announced a new CEO in L-3 Communications veteran S. Gordon Walsh, the company has opted to find another candidate.
Current DynCorp board member James E. Geisler will serve as interim CEO, effective immediately.
In a release, DynCorp said that Walsh’s departure was not linked to the company’s operational or financial performance, but the company declined to comment further.
Geisler has been a member of Delta Tucker Holdings’ board since September 2012. He spent 17 years at United Technologies Corporation as co-chief financial officer. Delta Tucker is DynCorp's parent company.
DynCorp said that it has set up a search committee within its board of directors to find a new CEO.
