ASRC Federal wins $88M supercomputing support contract
ASRC Federal InuTech has won an $88 million contract to support the Army Corps of Engineers supercomputing needs in Huntsville, Ala.
ASRC Federal InuTech has won an $88 million contract to support the high performance computing for the Army Corps of Engineers, Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville, Ala.
ASRC Federal InuTech is part of a family of companies owned by the Arctic Slope Regional Corp., an Alaska Native Corporation.
Under this contract, known as the High Performance Computing Modernization Program Defense Research Engineering Network, ASRC Federal will provide technical and professional support elements. The company will provide network engineers and subject matter experts, who will focused on the Defense Research Engineering Network’s operation centers, ensuring security, availability and reliability of the network, the company said in a statement.
Known as DREN, the Defense Research Engineering Network lets defense researchers located throughout the country access DOD supercomputing resources to design solutions to complex problems and develop new technologies critical to national security, the company said.
