Northrop wins $25M Navy minesweeping support modification

Northrop Grumman has won a $25 million modification to a Navy minesweeping support contract.

The modification will extend Northrop Grumman’s depot level repair, maintenance, engineering services and integrated logistics support for the following minesweeping platforms:

• AN/AQS-14A Sonar Detecting Set
• AQS-24 Mine Hunting System
• ALQ-141 Acoustic Minehunting/Minesweeping System
• USM-668 Intermediate Level Test Equipment (ILTE)
• Modified USM-668A ILTE and the Swivel Slip-Ring Assembly

Work is slated to wrap up February 2015, and no funds were obligated at the time of the award.
