3 Phoenix picks up $9M torpedo warning modification

3 Phoenix Inc. has won a $9.1 million modification to a Navy torpedo warning system support contract.

The Chantilly, Va.-based firm will supply engineering services for development, integration, testing, and logistic support of the torpedo warning system, which provides surface ships with the ability to detect threat torpedoes and employ defensive measures.

Funds in the amount of $9,042,080 were obligated at the time of the award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Work is expected to be completed by October 2014.
