Exelis wins $38.3M contract to support Air Force ranges

Exelis has won a $38.3 million contract modification to continue providing the Air Force with launch and test range system support functions.

The contract modification extends the contract period of performance by six months.

Under the contract, Exelis will support the Eastern Range and Western range, and support functions will include range sustainment, external user support, projects and engineering services.

Work will be performed at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., and the work is expected to be completed by July 31, 2014.

Funding in the amount of $9.2 million is obligated at the time of the award.
