SAP NS2 non-profit offers IT training program for post-9/11 vets

NS2 Serves, a nonprofit established by SAP National Security Services, is recruiting for post-9/11 veterans to join an IT training and career placement program, but there are less than three weeks until the application deadline.

Up to 20 training slots are available for a three-month course that begins in Potomac, Md., on March 3, 2014.

Full-time, paid participants will be trained in software solutions that support U.S. national security missions, and graduates will gain “SAP Associate Consultant” status.

Trainees will also have weekly discussions with a business mentor, and will receive placement assistance after graduation to work in the U.S. national security field or elsewhere in SAP’s U.S. network, the company said in a release. 

The course is open to post-9/11 veterans of U.S. military service, as well as civilians who served in war zones and qualified spouses.  Preference will be given to those who are recently returned from war zones and are seeking their first post-separation opportunity, the company said.

Applications are due by the end of the day on Friday, Jan. 31.
